The Annual Tour de Milk Bike Race

A Carlinville Original

Tour de Milk is named in honor of Prairie Farms Dairy which was founded in Carlinville in 1938. The race starts at Carlinville Plaza and weaves its way past many of Carlinville’s historic icons like The Square, Sears Homes, Macoupin County’s “Million Dollar Courthouse”, and Illinois Rt. 66.

A Decade of Giving Back

Presented by Carlinville Plaza, the goal of the ride is twofold: to bring awareness to the Route 66 Bike Route and other routes in the Carlinville area, and secondly to raise money for two local charitable efforts. Proceeds benefit The Carlinville Area Food Pantry and Carlinville Winning Communities’ Beaver Dam Bike Trail effort. We’re proud to celebrate the 10th annual Tour de Milk in 2024.

Come Ride with Us

Tour de Milk happens each year on the last Saturday in September. The race has two distances to choose from and is timed and supported with several rest areas along the way. Race it or go party pace. All are welcome!
